Are you a skipper in need of crew for local cruising or racing? Maybe you are crew and looking for a ride? Use RailMeets and GoSailing for sailing either near or far. Are you getting ready for a coastal trip and could use a 3rd or 4th? Maybe you’ve wanted to jump aboard for the Chicago to Mackinac Race. If so, then you might find what you need through these great resources.
Marco Heuer and John Madey co-founded RailMeets in December 2016 and formally launched it in January 2017 with a small group in their home club – the Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club (CCYC). The site was designed based on the belief that “technology needs to get out of the way and, should rather, enable the fun.” Since its founding days, the platform has continued to grow rather organically.
How it Works – This site allows us to add our race schedule. Skippers can add their boat and associate the racing dates they are in need of crew for. Those looking for crew opportunities can make their availability known as well.
This site can also help cruisers list or search for non-racing events whether its for a day cruise or something longer.

The Arizona Yacht Club also uses the GoSailing App to facilitate skipper and crew connections. It’s FREE and really easy to use. You can go online on your PC or Mac or use the Android or iPhone App. Just create a free account, and look for skippers in our area that need crew and “apply” to them! Below is a helpful video about the GoSailing App.
