Sabot
For Sale: Sabot sailboat with new sail and cover. Spruce and mahogany boom has an internal outhaul. This boat is a good trainer for Kids or Adults. Sabots are also raced by adults in San Diego and Newport. The Sabot has a leeboard vs. a centerboard. Unlike the gaff rig on an Opti, or the fully battened Open Bic, the sail trim is more typical of most boats. It can also serve as a dinghy with removable oar locks. Great boat for TTL. Asking $500. This is an 18 foot lifting keel sport boat with a flat top mainsail, roller furling jib, and asymmetrical spinnaker that deploys out of a chute. Duel rudders insures a constant bite. A very fast sailboat that will plane in winds above 15mph.

The price is $5,000(US) OBO, as is, where it is. Proceeds will go to Castaway Kids, whose mission is to support children and their families in the San Carlos and Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico area with education, enabling them to improve their lives and increase their opportunities.
