Ms. Alison began sailing as a youth and continued her love of the sport, perfecting her skills while a Tufts University Sailing Team member. Alison showed herself to be a quick study and worked to do more than she thought was possible. She has been voted Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year a record five times. In the first group of sailors and the only woman, she was elected to the United States National Sailing Hall of Fame in 2011. Currently, she serves as the Chair of the Para World Sailing Committee.
You won’t want to miss this presentation from Betsy, an accomplished woman sailor. You may read more about Betsy in this Scuttlebutt Sailing News article. Or head to Sailing World and read Alison’s Great Return by Carol Cronin.

GAIL TURLUCK will also join us and share a brief message.
Gail is an active Sunfish and offshore sailboat racer. She is a veteran of 46 Chicago-Mackinac Races, 18 (or is it 19) Port-Huron Mackinac Races, a Conch-Republic Cup, and over 25 Queen’s Cups. Turlock has won the Midwest Collegiate Freshman Championship and raced in over 30 classes, sailing in eight Sunfish World Championships.
