By Debbie Huntsman, L.A.S.T. Coordinator
Learn about trailerable sailboats—from the sporty MC Scow to the Martin 16, favored for adaptive sailing. You are invited for an up-close look at boats used by Arizona Yacht Club (AYC) sailors. The January L.A.S.T. Learn About Sailing Things® will offer an overview and Q & A for each boat by knowledgeable owners, not salesmen. We want to highlight the accessibility of sailing small boats.
January 28 at Tempe Town Lake Marina – 11:30 a.m.
Registration is requested for this free event: https://arizonayachtclub.wildapricot.org/event-5536141
The boat list now includes Laser, Capri 14.2, Martin 16, Santana 20, Compac Suncat 17, Sunfish, MC Scow, Melges 15, Beach Cat, Martin 16 and Buccaneer. If you know anyone interested in discovering more about affordable sailing fun, share this page and invite them to join us. Arizona Yacht Club membership is not required for attendance.
You can also bring a picnic lunch and a lawn chair. Then, hang around, relax and watch some sailboat racing from the grassy knoll overlooking the lake.
