The AYC Volunteer Service Award recognizes a member that contributes their time and talents in ways that positively impact AYC. The difference can be seen in their contribution to creating something new, racing, cruising, fundraising, education, social events, instructing & coaching, upkeep of boats and equipment, building fleets, welcoming new members, special events, volunteer administration or countless other ways.
The recipient of this award is eager to help, takes initiative, and turns ideas into action. They are creative and enjoy discovering newer or better ways of getting things done. They are easily described as an asset to our club.
Since we are a volunteer-run club it’s important to recognize and congratulate those outstanding volunteers whose unselfish and dedicated service has made a significant difference in the AYC sailing community.

Nominations can be submitted by any AYC member. Submissions are reviewed and selected by the AYC Board of Directors. This award will be considered on an annual basis and awarded at the Commodore’s Celebration.
