AYC has made special arrangements with Pleasant Harbor to use the Spring Canyon (SC) ramadas and beach launch area for events during Fall 2025 and Spring 2026. This area will be open for use to all AYC event participants during all AYC events! Questions? Click on the questions below for the answers!
How do I get down to SC if I’m driving?
Head as if you were going to the North Ramp, turn right towards the dry storage area, and then left down to SC.
How do I get down to SC if I’m walking?
You can walk down the same way you would drive, or there are stairs from the North Ramp bathrooms. Or, catch a Pleasant Harbor shuttle and tell them you’re going to Spring Canyon – but make sure to tip the shuttle driver (they take Venmo)!
What types of boats are allowed to launch at SC?
All dinghies with dollys (Sunfish, Lasers, etc.) and multi-hulls with trailers may launch here. Keep in mind this is a dirt launch area, not a concrete ramp, and it’s not steep.
If I launch my boat at SC, can I leave my car and trailer/dolly there while I’m out sailing?
Yes! And if you are launching your boat at the North Ramp, you can also park your car and trailer in SC. Please be courteous – parking spots are not marked, so attempt to park in an organized fashion that makes room for more cars.
Are we allowed to access SC outside of a scheduled AYC event?
Currently, our agreement with Pleasant Harbor is only for AYC events. But don’t worry, we’ll have plenty of them!
Are we allowed to camp at SC in either our car or a tent during AYC events? How about motor homes/trailers? If we plan to camp there, what do we tell Pleasant Harbor at the entrance gate?Â
Camping is now allowed in Spring Canyon! Pay for camping as if you were dry camping up top (tell them Cactus Wren or Ringtail section), then come set up in Spring Canyon. There is still a two night minimum (three for holiday weekends). Shower cards are available for an extra fee.
Are there restrooms at SC?
We will use the restrooms located at the North Ramp. There is a set of stairs leading from the SC ramadas to the restrooms. There are flush toilets, but no showers at this location. If you desire a shower, you can pay for a shower card at the RV Resort Office.
Are we allowed to have camp fires at SC?Â
Yes! There is a fire pit near the ramadas. Please refrain from creating other fire pits.
Is this area a work in progress?
You betcha! We are still cleaning up the area and learning how best to utilize the space. If you have any comments or further questions, please contact us here.
