Happy New Year everyone!
At the General Meeting on 8 January, I would like to invite everyone to come and discuss what YOU want out of YOUR club.
The framework for the discussion is really simple. At the beginning of my tenure as Commodore, we came up with the phrase: “Create the best sailing events in the region and bring the most value to each member as possible.” That has been this Board’s guiding principle. From that we had 4 focus areas:
- Long-Term Planning
- Reducing the Barriers to Entry to Sailing
- Adding to our Social and Cruising Calendars
- Creating Ways for our Junior Members to Participate
These haven’t changed and they will be the basis for our discussion on Tuesday.
