Our annual Commodore’s Celebration is on the calendar and will be held at the Culinary Dropout in Tempe. We’ll reminisce about our past year of successes, social gatherings, racing and cruising, community sailing, and blunders. There is much to celebrate, so please join us! The dress is Arizona casual.
Saturday, May 11 – cocktails and appetizers at 6 pm, dinner at 6:45.

This is our premier social event where we get a little dressed up and mix and mingle with other members, guests, and a few kiddos. We’ll say “THANK YOU” to the outgoing board of directors and welcome in the new.
The presentation of trophies, special recognition, and awards will begin after dinner. Members are asked to make submissions for the following two awards:
- Ye Blunder Bucket: Come prepared to share the best blunder you witnessed by another member. They need not be present to claim this least sought-after trophy. If you cannot attend, email your nomination here, including a brief description of the blunder. You may even nominate yourself; it’s rare, but it has happened! Pre-registration is required and will close on Friday, May 3. Members and nonmembers are welcome to attend. $60 per person. There will be a cash bar! The menu includes:
6:15 Appetizers
– Lebanese Hummus & veggies
– House Potato Chips and famous onion dip
7:00 Dinner
– Simple House Salad with cucumber, baby tomato, parmesan, buttermilk ranch
– Strawberry & Spinach Salad with golden raisin, snap pea, goat cheese, farro, herbs, smoked almond and poppyseed vinaigrette
– 36-Hour Pork Ribs – jalapeno and molasses, macaroni & cheese
– Roasted Salmon – creamy farro risotto, pesto, sweet corn, blistered tomato, asparagus, garden herb pesto
– Forbidden Rice & Korean Veggies with grilled sweet potato, ginger chile sauce (V & GF)
Dessert: Monkey Bread – cinnamon apple brioche

Kids 12 and under – Choose from chicken tenders, macaroni & cheese, crispy shrimp, or a cheeseburger. Served with fries. $10.00 pp.
