Last weekend, a merry band of over 15 sailors set a new precedent for ASF and Adopt-a-Boat clean-up! Do it when it’s COOL OUT! You can count on seeing more COOL WEATHER CLEAN-UPs.
Many hands – and cooler weather – made light work of the tasks at hand, and in less than 5 hours, the ASF fleets of ten C14.2s, three Sunfish, two Lasers, and five FJs were all re-rigged, reviewed, and renewed for the spring 2025 season.

The fleet of six Bics had to wait until Tuesday. Thanks to Barry Bond and John Tapernoux putting in a few more hours, those six little race boats are also ready for this weekend’s Junior Racing class. That’s 26 BOATS ready to go. But not quite all of them; 10 more to go. So keep your eyes peeled for ASF OPTI CLEAN-UP DAY in a few weeks.
Many, many thanks to everyone for spending some time “messing around with boats!” THANK YOU, Andrew Fulton, Barry Bond, Bill Feil, Linda Park, Bob Naylor, Dale Zobel, Devon Howe, Don Weaver, Emory Heisler, Gordon Briner, Joel Oglesbee, John Tapernoux, Laurent Dion, Lee Perry, Nathan Botts, Ron & Lynn Simzyk, Tim Mitchell, Lafe Larson, Tom Sinnickson (and apologies to anyone I missed!). THANK YOU!
And what comes after Spring Cleaning – A YARD SALE. Check out the items for sale list on the ASF FOR SALE PAGE and stop by the ASF trailer inside the TTL boat storage area to pick up a deal or two!
