Reimagining ASF Sailing Class Offerings

By Emory Heisler, President, Arizona Sailing Foundation

Arizona Sailing Foundation (ASF) is planning a “Reimagining Workshop”, part virtual and part in person, to gather ideas and translate them into actions.

Do you have ideas for how to REIMAGINE ASF sailing classes?  If so, please CLICK HERE to sign up for the workshop team and to submit your ideas!

An ASF Adult class in 2022 on Tempe Town Lake.

We were all disappointed to hear that ASF would put its sailing class programs on “pause” for the 2025 fall season.  And yet, we know that there are MANY people out there wanting to learn to sail and many other people – LIKE YOU – interested in helping to make that possible.

OUR CHALLENGE – if you should choose to accept it – is to create new sailing class offerings that:

1. Fit volunteer skills, passions and schedules

2. Align to insurance and risk management guidelines

Would you be able to help us?  If so, please CLICK HERE to sign up for the workshop team and to submit your ideas for new ways ASF can connect with volunteers and the community to deliver sailing education programs.  From your entries, we’ll schedule a virtual meeting in November to assess what we can do to bring your ideas to life.
