AYC expects to field active fleets for Catalina 22, PHRF Spin, Santana 20, Sportboat, and Thistles for Lake Pleasant (…and it would be great if we again had enough sign-ups for a Multi-hull Fleet); and, Catalina Capri 14.2, Juniors, Laser, Portsmouth, and Sunfish fleets at Tempe Town Lake.
Our Adopt-a-Boat fleet of Catalina Capri 14.2 and Laser sailboats was really under-utilized last season. Every AYC member is eligible to sail a club Adopt-a-Boat at Tempe Town Lake at NO COST – you need to know how to sail, and you must register your adopt-a-boat for Spring Series racing, and sailing must be on TTL scheduled race days. This is a great way to get into club racing; but, you may also use your Adopt-a-Boat to just sail around TTL and practice your sailing skills if you like. The Catalina Capri 14.2s are usually sailed with 2-people, and Lasers are a one-person boat.
