2024 AYC Birthday Regatta for Charity – Important deadlines coming up fast!!
Are you a procrastinator? Yeah, me too… Well, you’re in luck! The late fee for the Birthday Regatta racing registration has been reduced and extended through this weekend! But don’t delay – the regatta will be here before you know it! To date, there are 64 boats registered! Let’s make it our biggest Regatta ever!
Remember, the AYC Birthday Regatta is our biggest annual race, social event, and charity fundraiser. Consider a donation even if you won’t be in attendance.
Help YOUR club make a difference in the lives of others!
Friday night we’ll enjoy a gourmet taco dinner and Beatles music from Steve Dolter and the B-Sides Band. Stay to dance or relax and enjoy Smores by the fire.
Saturday night we are kicking it up a notch with Scott Faver of The Party Favers DJ and an incredible dinner by Chef Jeannette Corey from the World Food Championships.
Oh, and yeah, there’s sailing too!! Two or three days of racing; and Saturday has options for a long-distance cruising race or cruising challenge scavenger hunt! More info on the Birthday Regatta Racing Page.
Have friends or family that want to come, but don’t sail? Our Spectator Cruise for Charity on ‘The Phoenix‘ sets sail on Saturday, February 17th at 11am and includes a DJ and cash bar. Did I hear “PARTY BOAT”??
Upcoming Deadlines & Sign Up Links:
Racing Registration – a late fee of $25 will go into effect on Monday, February 5th; the last day to register is Tuesday, February 13th
Shirts – Gray performance fabric with our colorful logo on the back. Available in short-sleeved mens, and short and long-sleeved ladies fit. Order by midnight on Sunday, February 4th to pick up your shirt at the regatta. Orders received February 5th – February 19th will be available for pickup at the March AYC general membership meeting.
Meals (One Sat night dinner included in the racing registration fee)
- Friday night dinner is a gourmet taco dinner (back by popular demand!)
- Saturday morning begins with a scrumptious hot breakfast crafted by AYC’s own Chefs Joe & Bonnie Motil.
- Saturday dinner is a delicious catered buffet of Mediterranean Chicken, Cavatappi with Vodka Sauce, Broccolini, Strawberry Fields Salad, and Hawaiian Sweet Breads.
- Sunday morning we’ll have an easy grab-and-go breakfast from the Lake Pleasant Sailing Club!
- Order by February 6th to guarantee your tickets
‘The Phoenix’ Spectator Cruise for Charity – Order tickets online through February 16th; tickets can be purchased in person at the boat on February 17th. $40 pp.
Friday Only Race for Charity – NEWLY ADDED Friday-only racing registration is available for $25 until February 13th
Volunteers – Available to help at the regatta? Sign up here (and make sure to purchase your meals for when you are at the event).
Camping/Slips– Reserve your spots and let them know you are with the Arizona Yacht Club.
