AYC Sportsmanship Award

This award was established in 2021 and replaces the previous US Sailing/AYC Sportsmanship Award. This new award aims to recognize sportsmanship in sailboat racing rather than volunteer contributions to our club. We created a Volunteer Service Award for that recognition.

The recipients of the Sportsmanship Award are peer-nominated. Your nomination could be for an individual or a team who demonstrated a single extraordinary example of sportsmanship during an event, or it can be based on years of continuous sportsman-like conduct.

Once submissions are received, the AYC Board will review the nominations and select the final AYC member recipient. This award will be considered annually and presented at the Commodore’s Celebration.

You can also nominate someone for the US Sailing W. Van Alan Clark, Jr. National Sportsmanship Award.
