Birthday Regatta Racing Info

Registration is now closed! There will be a limited amount of walk-up meal tickets available for purchase at the event, and you can order shirts at the event for delivery after the event. If you have any questions, please contact birthdayregatta@arizonayachtclub.org.

Welcome, racers and cruisers! This year’s regatta will take place February 13-15, 2025 with racing headquarters located on the east side of Lake Pleasant, Arizona. Set your mapping app to Pleasant Harbor Marina and follow the maps below to our Regatta Headquarters at the Anchor Drop building. If you are able, come join us on Friday for a special Race for Charity and some practice out on the water.

The main racing is on Saturday and Sunday. Your registration fee includes a ticket to our Saturday evening party where we will enjoy a catered meal of BBQ from Dillon’s and a raffle to benefit Blood Cancer United, Soldier’s Best Friend, and Cancer Support Community of Arizona!

Meal tickets are also available for our Friday night taco dinner, followed by relaxing by the fire. And you won’t want to miss the gourmet Saturday morning breakfast cooked by the amazing Chef Joe Motil! Grillables will be available for purchase Sunday afternoon at the awards presentation.

Have a catamaran or dinghy? The Spring Canyon Beach Launch area is open this year! You may launch from this dirt/rock beach and stow your dollies while racing and overnight. For more info on Spring Canyon, see our FAQ page.

Have a keel boat? We recommend using the South ramp. The South ramp is a little harder to sail out of, but has more room at the dock. The North ramp has more direct access to the main part of the lake, but is not as steep. Please be gracious and offer a tow to any motor-less boats you see that could use some help getting out to the race course on time!

Both the North and South Ramps will have shuttle service from the parking lots. We love our shuttle drivers, please give them a generous tip!

Need crew or want to crew? Check out our Crew Connections page for some mixing and matching! Need a boat? Contact the fleet captains, many of whom know of available boats.

Coming from out of town? Check out our Accommodations page for info on camping, marina slips and local hotels.

Have family or friends that want to get involved? We need volunteers both at the event and to bring items to the lake. Have them sign up here to volunteer and we’ll contact them to see how best we can get them involved. And all are welcome to join us at the Saturday night party. Fun for all—and all for a good cause!

launch areas

Shuttles. Parking is located in the designated parking lots or in the dirt dry camping areas. There are shuttles running throughout the day to both of the ramps. Shuttle pickup is in the paved lot near the Fire Department (see map below). We love our shuttle drivers, so please tip generously!

Ramps. There are two public ramps located near Pleasant Harbor. The South ramp is steeper, but also a little further from the racecourse. The South ramp is typically used by our boats with motors. The North ramp is easier for our non-motorized boats to use and get directly out to the racecourse. There are courtesy docks for use at both ramps. The Spring Canyon Landing (aka “Beach Launch”) will be open! This dirt area will be closed to public use, but available for our event. You may leave your boat on a dolly or trailer overnight in this location. For more info on Spring Canyon, see our FAQ page.
