Did you know that the first Saturday of every month is National Play Outside Day? What better way to celebrate than to go sailing!
This upcoming first Saturday, May 2nd (and Sunday the 3rd), you have a chance to do just that! This is not an AYC-sponsored event, but is a special opportunity that we wanted to share with everyone.
Arizona’s Multi-Hull fleet, Fleet 85, is holding a “Come Sail with Me“ event on May 2nd and 3rd at Spring Canyon, on the Pleasant Harbor side of Lake Pleasant. The intent here is really to make sailing accessible to newcomers to the sport. If you would like to bring your boat out and join us, we’d love to have you. This isn’t limited to Multi-Hull boats; we are more interested in getting people on the water under sail than any specific boat type, to be honest!

Bonus: The AYC Club Championship will be held on Saturday the 2nd on Lake Pleasant in Sunfish, so you’ll be able to check out the action (from a distance)!
