Portsmouth Fleet Racing Returns to Lake Pleasant

Join the Dazzling Dinghies of the Portsmouth Fleet
– at Lake Pleasant!

Get your dinghy in gear and SIGN UP HERE to join the PORTSMOUTH FLEET for fall racing at Lake Pleasant (LP).  It’s back!  And don’t let the word “racing” worry you.  Either way, at LP or TTL,  the Portsmouth Fleet is about having FUN messing around with boats!

Similar to PHRF “handicap” racing for keelboats, the Portsmouth Yardstick allows center-board boats of all kinds to race head to head. So whatcha’ got? 14.2, 16.5, 420 (Yes ASU, that’s you!), 505, Buccaneer, Butterfly, Coronado 15, Dolphin, Finn, Fireball, Flying Scot, Laser, Laser2, Lido 14, Megabyte, Mutineer, Nomad, Scow, Sunfish, Thistle, Y-Flyer or what have you? However you choose to dinghy around, you’re welcome in the Portsmouth Fleet, regardless of your boat type or skill level.

And fall sailing on Lake Pleasant is about as good as it gets.  Warm weather. Warm water, reasonably consistent “thermal-driven” wind and miles of water to reach on. Let’s go!

All are welcome! Test and improve your sailing skills. And then gather round at “Spinnaker Point” after sailing for some refreshments and camaraderie.  How’s that sound to you?  Seems like a winning combination regardless of where you finish on the water.

SIGN UP HERE for Portsmouth racing at TTL or LP.  Lake Pleasant racing is on Saturdays or Sundays, or both.  TTL Portsmouth racing continues as usual on alternate Sundays.  See the LP SCHEDULE below and the AYC Racing page for more details.

LP Races begin at 12:30 pm Saturdays and 8:30 am Sundays
– October 1-2
– October 15-16
– October 29-30
– November 12-13
– December 3-4 (RACE COMMITTEE duty for Thistle/Portsmouth)
